The playing pathway now continues from there, through our Development Team to the Men's First Team who compete in the Wessex Premier League (Step 5 of the Non-League Pyramid). The great new player pathway at Victoria Park now gives the youth players at the club a chance to work their way through the age groups into a competitive men's football program. The Development Team for the 22/23 season comprises a talented group consisting of under 18s and under 23s and will compete in the Hampshire Combination West Division. The home ground for our men's section is Victoria Park in Bournemouth which has a capacity of 3,000. The Poppies (nickname) have been an established football club since 1875 when they were originally called Bournemouth Rovers. Academy TV is a local football media team for amateur teams, one of the teams we record is Academy FC Dorset they are your typical Sunday league team, they have teams in division 4 and 6 of the M A Hart Sunday league. After being gifted a VEO sports camera in March 2021 Academy TV has been recording Academy FC Dorset games. Having now got to grips with the software, editing, and uploading of videos, we have recorded games for Wimborne Town, Poole Town, Merley Cobham, Allendale, Bournemouth Electric, Bisterne United, BCP, Inspire Dorset Craig Inglis is the matchday cameraman and commentator, we have just started working with Bournemouth University and media students are getting involved with the editing side of things it is an exciting time at AcademyTV.
