FA Cup 4th Qualifying Round. Who ever won this made it into the 1st Round proper. South Shields a team with a big budget and ambition, Kevin Phillips as manager. Scunthorpe who had been turning a corner recently and no budget, or idea at all in this game. SS played the game, swarmed the man with the ball, scored a goal and just generally made us look like some pub team. Or did our own players make us look like a pub team. They deserved every bit of stick they got at the end from the fans. It wasn’t pretty at all what we had to watch/endure on the pitch. Did we have a plan A? Because all I saw was us launching balls forward, passes not going to a man, unless it was us passing it along the back as though we were 5-0 up. *No I won’t be at Southend after that shit show!!!
