Oxford City's seven game unbeaten run game to an abrupt end on New Years Day with an underwhelming 2-1 defeat at Marsh Lane to Hungerford Town FC. The two sides saw out an even first half before the visitors found the net in the 50th minute thanks to Alfie Whittingham. Kabongo Tshimanga did grab an equaliser for Mark Jones' Hoops but the Crusaders from Berkshire found a winner when Marcus Johnson-Schuster found the bottom corner of Craig Kings net with 15 minutes remaining.
