The Northern League's Crook Town met the London finalists Enfield at Wembley. This Final is always an exciting prelude to the Cup Final, and the Amateurs often come up with some much less inhibited football, too. Mr Angus Ogilvy met the teams before the kick off. Shortly, Roger Day scored the first goal for Enfield, but after the resumption Crook Town equalised. The match was level-pegging until that splendid combination between inside left William Roughley and left half Alan Brown, and the goal that gave the cup to Crook Town. Mr Ogilvy presented it to skipper Peter Garbutt.
