From the ensuing scramble the ball falls to Ryan McCann who who scores from 84 yards meriting an application to the Guinness Book of Records as the longest goal in world football history by an outfield player. QoS win the contest 2-0 and progress to the semi final winning 4-3 against Aberdeen. In the final Queens go down 3-2 to Rangers. Their reward for reaching the final is a UEFA Cup conest against FC Nordsaellland.
