Anstey Nomads v Harborough Town. The home side kicked off the first game of the @pitchingin105 campaign. In the 12th minute, Rose forced a difficult save from the Harborough Town keeper and Annable struck the bar a minute later. Around the 30 minute mark, Anstey were forced into the early substitution of Mycroft-Edwards after Morris committed a foul which resulted in the first booking for the visitors. In the 33rd minute would waste their strongest chance of the half with Kelly failing to hit the target from close range. Just a minute later, Blake capitalised on a defensive error taking it round the keeper and putting the ball into an empty net for the Nomads. Reeve came close to doubling the lead for the home side after closing the keeper down, however the deflection bounced just short of the net. 1-0 was the half time score. In the 58th minute, Logan played a long ball from his penalty area which the Harborough defence failed to deal with as Williams headed it past his own keeper doubling Anstey's lead. Harborough hit back with 10 minutes to go through a corner headed in by Morris. As an attempt to find the equaliser, the big man moved from centre back to striker and acted as a target man for the remainder of the game. However, in the dying minutes Rose was able to get on the end of a cross from Clarke sealing the victory. The score finished 3-1 as Anstey picked up 3 points in their first league game since promotion.
