Celtic FC B team headed home from Saturday’s trip to Newton Park with a triumphant 3-0 victory over Bo’ness United in the Lowland League. Mackenzie Carse opened the scoring with the only goal of the first half, before teammates Ben Quinn and Bosun Lawal extended their lead after the break, seeing the Hoops head home with all three points and a clean sheet. Speaking after the match, coach Stephen McManus said: “I thought the performance was excellent. ‘We moved the ball quickly and attacked the game with real aggression.’ “It’s a difficult place to go and the environment is a bit more hostile than the boys are used to, but they stuck to our principles. “They dominated the ball in possession and their reaction to losing the ball was brilliant.
