Craig Brown opened the scoring for the visitors, but substitute Shaun Bammant's second half strike ensured that the two sides will meet again on Wednesday. Both teams will be in Monday's draw for The Fourth Round Qualifying. A crowd of 328 turned out and it was Met Police who started the stronger of the two teams. Tyron Smith went close with a free-kick, while Bowen also spurned a good opportunity early on. Met Police broke the deadlock in the 11th minute after Dereham goalkeeper Andy Wilton and defender Adam Gusterson failed to cut out a teasing cross from Brown. Each left the other to deal with the cross and the ball ended up in the back of the net -- much to the delight of the travelling side. Dereham boss Matt Henman decided to introduce Bammant at half-time, and his decision paid dividends within 120 seconds. The forward latched on to Luke Tuttle's superbly-weighted through ball and arrowed the ball into the back of the net. Both sides created chances late on but neither could snatch a victory. They will clash again next week at Imber Court for a spot in the next round.
