The main action from our game away at Barnet where the Minstermen returned to winning ways in the National League after an emphatic 5-0 win at the Hive. An own-goal got proceedings under way for John Askey’s men after only twelve minutes, before Alex Hurst’s first goal of the season handed York a comfortable lead heading into the break. Captain Lenell John-Lewis made it 3-0 early on into the second period with tap-in, before he found his second of the afternoon with a free header with twenty minutes to go. Defender Sam Sanders also got in on the act in second-half injury time, bundling the ball home with another free header, capping off an impressive performance on the road for the club.
