The Latics moved within a point of safety in the National League by edging a five-goal thriller with Torquay United, backed by 87 travelling fans from south Devon. Sub Timmy Abraham dinked the ball over the keeper and in off a post for the winner. Earlier, an own goal by Dylan Crowe put Oldham ahead at Boundary Park but Will Goodwin brought the Devonians level with a long range equaliser. The goal of the game by Oldham Athletic’s Ben Tollitt restored the host’s lead, but a penalty from Aaron Jarvis restored parity. A crowd of 5,615 saw the match.
