Hello everyone and welcome back to another Matchday Vlog on the Channel! Back at home for the third home game of the season. Traveling to St Andrews to take on Blues was Wigan, who were unbeaten in their first 3 games of the season! 3 draws so no wins and no losses for the Latics, whereas Blues had a mixed start coming into this game with a very decent point in our last game against Watford. First half began and Blues looked the livelier of the two teams in the first 10 minutes. Lucas Jukiewitcz found himself about to be one on one with the Latics goalkeeper but Wigan defender Joe Bennett fouled Jukey denying a goalscoring opportunity. Red card for Bennett! Wigan were down to 10 men with the game all to play for and seemed destined for a Blues win. in turned out to be the complete opposite..... The rest of the first half was quite scrappy, with blues having a few chances to open the scoring, as well as Wigan having one or two themselves. Half time came and nothing could settle the two sides with no team opening the scoring. Second half came with Blues pushing for the opening. Final third quality lacking then punished Blues later in the second half with a late Nathan Broadhead goal for the Latics. Birmingham pushed and pushed to find an equaliser late on, but it just wasn't to be!
