Eastbourne Borough met Hungerford Town in the Vanarama National League South, in a match sponsored by Lushington Motors (http://lushingtonmotors.co.uk). It was a game of two halves, with both teams were looking for points: the ‘Sports’ to keep in contact with the leading pack and the ‘Crusaders’ to break away from the bottom pack. At first it looked like Hungerford might just walk away with a result, but a committed second half performance and a couple of great goals by Ryan Hall saw the Borough walk away with all the points. A game with incident and controversy surrounding a possible Geoff Hurst style goal or no goal and a sending off. These highlights include Jamie Howell’s, post-match interview. A call to action!
