All the preperations for the big kick off of the 2019/2020 Vanarama National League South Season was all in vein as Oxford City were left humbled on the opening day as Concord Rangers put three unanswered goals past them at Marsh Lane on Saturday afternoon. Joel Nouble, Kreshnic Krasniqi and Joe Gardner made sure that Danny Scopes' men headed back to Canvey Island with all 3 points. There was also a minutes silence held in memory of long serving club secretary and club legend, John Sheppard, also known as Mr Oxford City FC through his many years of service to the club.
