football, National League North
Hello one and all, welcome to another match preview. Tomorrow Chester FC venture to Herefordshire to take on Hereford FC away where we need to get back on track. I’m looking forward to this match as it will be our 2nd away game in the space of 4 days. Our display against Southport was very poor on Wednesday, although prior to that we were scoring for fun so hopefully we will be able to regain that form again. We have a busy fixture schedule coming up so it’s vital we play for every point possible to stay in touch with the top 2. Also, we haven’t won away from home since September 15th where we beat Boston United 2-0, so again it’s vital we get back on track. Hereford FC are another side who have had a very mixed season following promotion from the Evo-Stik Southern League last campaign. They started off well with a 3-0 win against Blyth Spartans on the opening day, although they have slipped down the table quite remarkable since then. In September Peter Beadle was sacked as manager which was a surprise to the majority of Hereford’s fanbase as he did a great job there, getting the club 3 successive promotions. Just hours before our 3-0 win in the reverse fixture back in October, The Bulls appointed Marc Richards as their new manager from Gloucester City. To be honest he didn’t get off to the greatest of starts for them, although Hereford have only lost 1 match on 6 which we must be aware of. Just like ourselves, Hereford have been covered in their fair share of trouble in recent times as in 2014 Hereford United went bust. As a result, we actually got a reprieve as we occupied the final relegation spot, so stayed up. Months later Hereford formed a new phoenix club called Hereford FC who went on to achieve 3 successive promotions, just like when we reformed in 2010 following Chester City’s demise. It’s fair to say we are similar in many ways, although I hope we get back to winning ways tomorrow. I will be going to the match so my highlights will be uploaded after the game. Hopefully you enjoyed today’s video so please like, subscribe and comment down your score predictions below. Cheers, Rio.
