Veteran seamer Glenn Chapple took 5-9 from 7.2 overs and Kyle Hogg posted 4-11, with home captain James Foster run out. Opener Jaik Mickleburgh scored half of Essex's runs as Lancashire won the Division Two game by an innings and 105 runs with more than four sessions to spare.
