Kolkata Knight Riders defeated Punjab Kings by five wickets in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2021 match no. 21 in Ahmedabad on Monday. KKR chased down a modest 124-run target with 20 balls to spare. For Punjab, opener Mayank Agarwal top-scored with a 31 off 34 balls but Chris Jordan’s 30 off 18 balls took them past the 120-run mark. Prasidh Krishna picked up three wickets while Pat Cummins and Sunil Narine chipped in with two wickets apiece to restrict Punjab to 123 for 9. In reply, KKR were in trouble at 17 for 3 before Rahul Tripathi and skipper Eoin Morgan put them on course with a 66-run fourth-wicket stand.
